What is Nifty Midcap Select?

The Nifty Midcap Select is a stock market index consisting of 25 midcap stocks in the Indian stock market. Midcap stocks in India are companies with a market capitalization above 22000 crore but less than 67000 crore. The stocks are selected by free float market capitalization technique by NSE. The Nifty Midcap Select is not the same as other midcap index variants such as Nifty Midcap 100, Nifty Midcap 150. The Index was launched on September 14, 2021 with a base date of October 3, 2005. Nifty Midcap Select has a derivative segment.
